Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Cookies

These chocolate covered marshmallow cookies are a delightful treat that combines soft chocolate cookies with gooey marshmallows and a rich chocolate coating. Perfect for chocolate lovers!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 large marshmallows, halved
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Mix the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl

Creamy and smooth texture is achieved by beating softened butter and granulated sugar together in a separate bowl with an electric mixer

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract after adding them to the butter-sugar mixture until thoroughly blended

Mixing until a dough forms, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones

Scoop out portions of the dough with a tablespoon and roll them into balls

Leaving some space between them, place them on the baking sheet that has been prepared

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set and have become slightly flattened

As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, immediately place a halved marshmallow, cut side down, in the middle of each one

Put the cookies back in the oven and continue baking for another two to three minutes, or until the marshmallows are toasted and have a slight golden hue

After taking the cookies out of the oven, allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling

Melt the semisweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second bursts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring after each burst until smooth

Reposition the cookies on the wire rack to harden after dipping the tops of each one into the melted chocolate mixture and letting any excess drip off

Allow the marshmallow cookies coated in chocolate to cool completely so the chocolate solidifies

Savor your mouthwatering marshmallow cookies covered in chocolate!
