Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Turn on the oven and heat it up to 325F 160C
Melt the butter and mix it with the powdered sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
Mix in the vanilla extract until it's well mixed in
Add the gluten-free all-purpose flour and salt to the mixture little by little
Mix until you get a soft dough
To make the dough about 1/4-inch thick, roll it out on a lightly floured surface
Cut the cookies into the shapes you want and put them on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper
Gently roll out and cut any scraps of dough that are left
Put the baking sheet in the oven that has already been heated
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are just beginning to turn golden
After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet
Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
If you want, you can sprinkle the cookies with more powdered sugar after they are completely cool
Have fun with your tasty gluten-free shortbread cookies!
