Secret Ingredient Sugar Cookies



Delightfully soft and flavorful sugar cookies with a hint of almond flour, making them a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • cup ground almond flour
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Take small portions of the chilled dough and roll them into balls

Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet

Use a fork to gently flatten each ball, creating a crisscross pattern

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar
